But I find it simply hilarious when I see photos, films and media in general depict military folks in completely wrong ranks.

I’m not being super judgmental, it just bothers me. By all means it doesn’t take away the meaning of any media outlet because more often than not, the incorrect rank isn’t the subject matter, it’s just an added feature trying to convince those unfamiliar with rank to just take it as it is.

However, if anyone can refer back to Boy Meets World episode, Angela’s Men, Angela’s father returns and refers to himself as a Master Sergeant when he’s clearly wearing a Sergeant Major rank….

That’s a HUUUUGGGEEE difference. Anyone who has had ANY military experience even JROTC knows for a fact that a Sergeant Major holds some pretty serious title over a Master Sergeant.

But once again, this is just how I feel towards the media when it portrays ranks incorrectly.

Seriously, are people really comparing music from before to now? Sure, I’ll admit that there are huge differences from yesterday’s music to now. But is that really a valid point to completely bash an artist’s creative nature?

People are going to argue back and forth saying shit like, “But musicians of before really cared about lyrics and” blah blah blah!

AND people are also going to argue that, “Yeah music today holds so much more emotion because of blah blah”

Dude, people calm the hell down. I enjoy music from all genre’s and all era’s! I prefer some old music over some new material, but I also enjoy today’s music over yesterday’s music.

I’m not going to claim one is better than the other, I’m just saying I have my preferences; by no means should it mean music of today or yesterday is better than the other and vice versa.

I agree, too many parents are just trying to be friends of their kids rather than being parents. This causes kids to have more of a relaxed attitude towards adults and rather than give respect they have this innate comfortably -whether it is positive or negative - completely throws out the teacher-student relationship.

I’m not here to argue that students be mindless beings who cannot question authority, but students now have no regard for those who are in a position to educate them.
